Why there aren’t more women in technology

As a woman interested in technology, I like to keep up on the latest by reading about new gadgets, new software, and so on. So, a few years back, I started reading Gizmodo and Engadget. I stopped reading Gizmodo because of posts like this:

Gizmodo Misogyny

I was happier with Engadget until I saw this in my feed reader:

Engadget Misogyny

You know, it’d really be nice if I were able to keep up with technology news without having my gender slandered left and right. If you know of a similar website that isn’t run by a lot of misogynistic fucks, I’d love to hear about it.

  1. Ars Technica FTW. Now and then a forum thread will get misogynist, but I’ve honestly never seen so much as a blooper in the actual copy.

Plus, they have actual women on staff. What a concept, no?

  2. Courtney S. says:

I like PopGadget, but it’s aimed at women, so….that helps somewhat
